A country in Northeast Africa bordered by the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Libya. Its east coast is on the Red Sea. It was home to the world’s earliest ancient kingdoms and has been inhabited since around 30,000 BC.
It has more than 200 pyramids -more than Egypt. Locally grown foods include grapes, okra, guavas, bananas, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers and pineapples. It is part of the Great Green Wall project across Africa.
