A sparsely populated country on Africa's south-west coast. It is bordered by Angola, Botswana, South Africa and Zambia. It is rich in mineral resources, including diamonds and uranium.
There are about 30 languages spoken there. The Fish River Canyon is the oldest in the world. The Namibian dollar is used interchangeably with the South African Rand.
