An island country in North America that is part of the Kingdom of Denmark. It is the world's largest island and lies between the Arctic and Atlantic oceans. It has its own domestic government but the Danish monarch is the ceremonial Head of State.
The majority of the land is covered in ice. Locals are called Greenlanders and about 90 percent are Inuit. There are many naturally-occurring hot springs.
