An island country situated on the Persian Gulf. It is located off the northeastern coast of Saudi Arabia and is connected by the King Fahd Causeway. The first oil in the Arabian Gulf was discovered there.
It is home to a 400-year-old Tree of Life. Some 92% of Bahrain is desert. It became famous as the home of Formula One racing in the Middle East, hosting the Bahrain Grand Prix.
