Pago Pago
American Samoa is a group of five islands and several atolls located in the South Pacific Ocean. The total land area is just slightly larger than Washington, D.C. The region was originally inhabited by chiefdoms such as the Tui Manuʻa. The citizens of American Samoa have no representation in the United States congress.
The only native mammal species on American Samoa are bats. The islands are also home to more than 250 different species of coral.
