The couple met in a coffee shop in 1962 while Sonny Bono worked for Phil Spector. Their television show The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour debuted in 1971.
Trivia
They parted ways in 1977, only having one reunion in 1988. Bono died in a skiing accident in 1998.
