With a devoted following of Deadheads, they were entered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. They received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. in 2007.
Trivia
They disbanded after the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995. They formed in May of 1965. Bruce Hornsby toured with them from 1990-1992.
